In November 1999 there was a great opportunity for seniors, family members, and caregivers or personnel directors to talk to community providers of services or programs at the 8th Annual Senior Expo from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. in Centennial Hall in downtown Mesa, AZ! We were invited to take part as representatives of the Arizona Renaissance Festival. We dressed in garb, and with our hounds, handed out discount coupons. This also gave us the opportunity to talk to lots of people about the hounds and their place in history. As we like to say about events such as this, the greyhounds had their fur petted off!
